IFHC launches a houbara photography contest

The International Fund for Houbara Conservation announced the results of the houbara photography contest which was launched at the Fund’s stand in ADIHEX 2016 Abu Dhabi on the Fund’s Instagram page.

The contest, named “Take a Photo of the Houbara”, saw the participation of a big number of beautiful images taken by tens of photography enthusiasts. Contestants were tasked to take photos to the live birds that were available at the stand during the exhibition period from 4-8 October 2016.

Photographer Saeed Bashar won the best photo prize. He expressed his thanks to the Fund’s management for their efforts in protecting houbara birds.

The International Fund for Houbara Conservation was established in 2006 to oversee the conservation and restoration of the wild houbara populations to numbers that will ensure its long-term preservation.
